right winged 'mon to the up and coming ranks of leadership that comprise Abakua, Oya is very to the point and pretty much always looks this bored. mute due to her lack of a mouth thanks to her solrock side, she can only communicate telepathically and only with those on the same mental "frequency" as her own. this means a fair majority of the ranch can't hear or comprehend what she's trying to convey in words, forcing her to utilize other methods of communication such as holding up a chalkboard with her responses and questions or even flat out avoiding conversation at all.
thankfully, Abakua is capable of understanding her, prompting her to be a lot closer to him.
